B i o g r a p h y

Fran Brar’s career began in 1975 as a Church Organist and Choir Director. She honed her skills while accompanying choirs ensembles, soloists, and worship instrumentalists, as well as rehearsing choirs and working with professional and volunteer musicians. Fran has also worked with Handbells, Adult and Children’s choirs and Praise Bands.

 

Fran’s work with pastors and music directors in designing worship services and selecting appropriate music, while fostering music and musical talent has been instrumental in the growth of the churches with which she has worked. She has used her skills to organize annual church music programs, including selecting anthems, congregation liturgical responses and church choir workshops.

 

Fran Brar’s love for music led her to the Judson College for Women in Marion, AL on a full scholarship and University of North Alabama where she received a degree in Music Education. She continued her music education at the Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Fran has also obtained a Master’s Level K-12 Classroom Music Teacher Certification .

 

Fran Brar is not only an accomplished instructor, she is also a renowned performer. Fran’s notoriety has brought her invitations to participate in Church Leadership Conferences, Church Music Concert Series and perform alongside members of the North Carolina Symphony. As an accompanist, Fran has performed across the Southeastern United States including Decatur, GA, Atlanta, GA, Huntsville, AL, Charlotte, NC and Raleigh-Durham, NC.

 

Fran enjoys teaching and performing which is why she provides individual and group lessons in the greater Research Triangle Region.
